Love.

Twloha.

Today's canvas...flesh...that sounds pretty morbid.
Today's utensil...sharpies of all colors and sizes...eek.

I will be at Green River Community College starting at 11 today
in Lindbloom Student Center to draw love on an arm near you.
Why? To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit organization that
exists to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly
into treatment for people struggling with depression, addiction,
self-injury and suicide.

So write love on your arm and support this pretty
epic movement.
...did I mention there were sharpies?

Lucidity.

I'm back.
Second Chapter...

Not Because I want to.
I need to.
I need a direction again.
I want to be a better more....fantastical (yeah I said it)
version of the artist that signed in two years ago.
Somewhere between "real life", trying to impress
everyone, and molding into an "acceptable" person
...I lost myself.
I think it is called growing up.
I call it nonsense.

Welcome back.

Slug.

Nik had mentioned something to me after class that got me thinking...not in a negative light...but just thinking none the less. He said that I somehow always feel detached from my work when it is complete. That my pieces as far as he has seen have been just another assignment to me. And although I hate to admit it he is tapping into some truth. I have a tendency to throw myself into a piece to where I am out of this world until it is complete. I will sit for hours upon hours with no break or communication with the outside world tediously working and I won't quit working until it is done. So when it is time for critiques it is not necessarily that I am detached more so as I am just tired of it. There is also this whole idea of knowing that I am eventually going to have to give it away or destroy it...so why become attached?
