I decided that my ipod and I need to take a break from one another....heart wrenching but a necessary move. I need to be more open to what is happening around me and not so involved in my own little world set to MGMT and Marley at the moment. I started listening closer and writing down what I hear. I was hoping to find depth and meaning out of the blurbs I found myself collecting…but so far it was a let down from what I thought it would be.
Here is what I have been missing...fortunatley or unfortunatley.
“It is okay I am sure she will understand why school is more important to you then family.”
“I only use a fork…I heard you eat less.”
“Seattle this weekend? Who is bringing beer?”
“I had my cat sip out of a straw one time…cats don’t like straws or chocolate milk.”
“You will be fine, just stay with me.”
“Did you see that girl? Bitch.”
“I just think it is aesthetically pleasing but nothing more…is there more?”
“I think old people should be required to have a pet in case something happens the dog can save them.”
“Dude it was like…I can’t even explain it to you dude.”
“I know it is not my fault but I am sorry.”
“What is the burning man? Is it like a cult?”
“I live on a farm with five kids and a wife, in my dreams.”
“Debit or credit?”
“We are going to be learning important contemporary stuff.”
“I expect great things from you and I am sure you expect even greater for yourself.”
“She is my best friend and I didn’t even know that she was like that, she told me she can like a girl if she wants.”
“I don’t get why they have to wear heels, it freaks me out.”
“I hate wearing heels I have so many blisters. I need a pedi this weekend for sure.”
“It gets worse before it will get better.”

My body is tired and worn....but my brain isn't.
